The Republic of Dagestan

Dagestan, which means “mountain country,” is a republic situated in the northern part of the Caucasus region between the Black and Caspian Seas in Russia.
Dagestani folk dances include a fast paced dance called the lezginka. People in Dagestan always perform this dance on the weddings.
