OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE FALL 2013
The soundtrack to Oscar De La Renta’s Pre-fall show was ‘Ain’t Nothing But the Real Thing’ by Marvin Gaye, which seemed particularly fitting for the season as it sometimes seems that pre-fall collections are something of a novelty, Oscar is certainly the real thing and he isn’t messing around. Starting off with pastel pinks, moving into emerald greens the colour palate was bold and classic. Print, pattern, texture, patterned tights peppered through the show. Evening gowns in light yellow, embellished aqua and black and white polka dots finished off the smart collection from one of fashion’s staples, Oscar - the real thing, is going nowhere.

Karen Walker Spring / Summer 2013 New York
Karen Walker made a name for herself at the age of 18 and has brought her brand to international eyes. With fans like Claire Danes,Sienna Miller and Liv Tyler and cult-eyewear the tongue-in-cheek designer works closely with fellow-Australian, stylist Heathermary Jackson. They managed to stage a dreamy show during New York fashion week, explaining that the inspiration was the positivity in the late 1950s and looking with conviction towards the future.
The pre-space age sentiments were present in her Jetson-esque galactic prints and the innocent penny-loafers belonging to a girl of a simpler time. Of course, Karen had to slap a bit of frivolous wit in there, candy-colored brights suggesting that the whole nostalgia thing was more of a modern satire than an honest homage.The feminine show had all the markings of her tomboyish edge, a balance of masculine and feminine that she and Jackson often employ in her work – their joint effort made for a well-received wonder.

Here some of the interesting things we have spotted during London Fashion Week.
Look at these shiny glittery bags! Two of the new masterpieces by Mawi. This little colourful clutch bag with Mawi jewelry on top is a number one accessory next summer.
Amazing presentation by Claire Barrow, Fashion East. I just love this PVA dress, pointy shoes and illustrations.
Somewhere in Belgravia I discovered shoe paradise. Sofia Webster is a new designer that surprised me a lot. I just fell in love with all of these colours and shapes.
The pink flamingos are my favorite! I also love this round heel with crazy pink dots <3
How cute these bags are! Seriously, I will get one this summer… the see-through one with flamingos.

Meadham Kirchhoff presented beautiful Madame Pompadour girls with their silk ribbons, high embroidered boots and crystal jewelry. Meadham Kirchhoff always surprise me with their fairytales and I can never get enough <3 <3 <3

Celebrate Jubilee with Meadham Kirchhoff
Spectacular spectacular! Meadham Kirchhoff and Topshop are celebrating the Jubilee weekend with a little show in their front window in Oxford circus. Girls wearing pastel colours, feathers & glitter looked like candies dancing in front of the triumphant Queen atop a sweet three-tiered cake.
